Our client is the world's leading manufacturer of ejection seats. With 80 years of experience, they design, test and manufacture the seats, as well as provide servicing and repairs on their products.
They are looking for someone to work a double shift (6am to 2pm, 1.45pm to 10pm). There is a shift allowance with this role, so please get in touch regarding this, the salary, and the excellent benefits on offer.
Responsibilities:
1. Operate anodising finishing equipment in both manual and automated production line.
2. Prepare components for finishing processes by bunging, masking, jigging, etc.
3. Operate barrel tumbling and vibratory finishing equipment.
4. Prepare the metallic surface for further processing including anodising and passivation.
5. Suitably mask components to ensure bores, holes, slots, etc. are free from abrasive media before entering machinery.
6. Undertake inspection of parts.
Characteristics & Skills:
1. Experience working with process chemicals in an anodising/metal finishing environment.
2. Basic manufacturing/engineering background and ability to read/interpret engineering drawings.
3. Background in health and safety/QAIs and COSHH regulations.
4. SAP experience desirable.
