Job Summary

Together we’ve a team of over 2,000 people who deliver all kinds of innovative projects. These range from huge Building and Civil Engineering works to bespoke Fit-out and Asset Management contracts.
As the GRAHAM business continues to grow, we are looking to add an enthusiastic and experienced Site Manager to help us deliver a variety of key projects within a major framework in the Glasgow area.
Job Description
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Site Manager will solely manage building projects or assist a Project Manager on larger schemes. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in a similar position with a main contractor.
Typical duties will include:
1. Undertaking the management of site staff.
2. Assisting in the scheduling of materials for ordering from the procurement department.
3. Planning the work and efficiently organising site operations in order to meet the agreed programme.
4. Assisting to develop construction programme.
5. Monitoring Programme.
6. Ensuring Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to.
7. Supervising the site labour and the works of subcontractors.
8. Ensuring quality records necessary to meet PQP are collated and maintained.
9. Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
10. Liaising with other function/departmental managers.
11. Introducing improvements and innovation where appropriate.
This job description is intended to give the post holder an appreciation of the role envisaged for the Site Manager and the range of duties to be undertaken. It does not attempt to detail every activity. Specific tasks and objectives will be agreed with the post holder at regular intervals.
Personal Specification
Essential
1. Construction management degree and/or trade background preferred and experience in major construction projects.
2. Possess good IT skills with experience in using computerised accounting systems and a working knowledge of Excel.
