Writtle Surgery has 2 opportunities for experienced and professional receptionists to join our team. These are part-time positions with the following available shift patterns: 7.45am - 1pm: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 1pm - 6.30pm: Monday and Tuesday This is a pivotal role in the experience of patients at our practice, helping them to access the right services and dealing with their queries face-to-face, online and by telephone. The main responsibilities of the role include: Dealing with patients face to face. Answering the telephone and booking appointments. Greeting patients. Contacting patients when necessary. Care navigation. Dealing with patient queries. Registrations and temporary resident processing. Working through tasks. Updating information in patient records, emails and much more in this very versatile role. Applicants will need to be flexible to cover additional shifts to cover annual leave and sickness. About the Candidate General practice is a challenging environment that requires a motivated team player who has customer service/patient experience, offers excellent communication skills, and has the following attributes: Ability to work in a polite, confidential and discreet manner, respecting patients and colleagues at all times. Have a positive attitude and able to work under pressure. Experience of working with the general public, being sensitive and empathic in distressing situations. Ability to work as part of a team. Strong IT and administration skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Previous GP experience is desirable. Experience of SystmOne an advantage but training will be given. About Us The Writtle Surgery is a 3 partner semi-rural dispensing practice of approximately 8,000 patients. We have 3 salaried GPs, and a fully staffed team including practice nurses, dispensers, secretaries and administrators, clinical pharmacists and receptionists.
