Job summary We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic, skilled MRI/CT radiographer to join our friendly and dedicated cross sectional team as we expand our MRI service. The candidate must be CT and/or MRI trained with at least 1 year recent experience in providing cross sectional imaging in a busy district general hospital or equivalent. The position is permanent and covers 37.5 hours a week with extended days, 7 day working and a CT on-call service. We have 2 GE CT scanners providing a range of quality imaging including Staging scans, Angiography, Trauma Imaging and Radiographer led CT Colonography. You must hold a BSc in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent, evidence of post graduate study, HCPC registration, demonstrate evidence of CPD. A certificate for IV cannulation from a SoR approved course would be an advantage. Main duties of the job The dept has 2 GE CT scanners providing a range of imaging including Staging scans, Angiography, Trauma Imaging, cardiac imaging and Radiographer led CT Colonography. The dept is currently in the process of replacing the current scanners with GE Apex Elite scanners. The dept has two 1.5T Siemens Sola MRI scanners. We provide a wide range of MRI imaging including MSK, Gynae, GI, Paediatric, stroke and Breast imaging. We have recently expanded our service to include cardiac MRI scanning and have introduced a cardiac physiology supported MRI conditional implant service.
