What Will I Be Doing?
Working as part of the Paintshop production team in preparation and cleaning of composite & metallic components, paintshop production area & tooling of various sizes & complexity to the defined specification & standard in support of Paintshop production operations.
Carry out responsibilities of an employee as outlined in the Health and Safety Policy, adhering to specific safety measures (i.e., PPE / lifting & handling) to maintain a safe working environment for self & others.
Provide excellent quality products and superior service to your stakeholders, both internal and external, by ensuring quality control & product safety in all activities.
Maintain and work rigorously to company policies & procedures, continually improving and streamlining.
Material handling in & around the Paintshop area, equipment maintenance, health & safety, 5S & workplace organisation vigilance.
Preparation of products utilising numerous tools, materials & methods in advance of the painting process in accordance with quality & process documentation.
Identification & part marking of painted parts.
Support the quality & scheduling process by ensuring adequate product protection throughout the paint process & preparation for downstream processing (material handling & storage).
Inventory management (parts & materials).
Validate all tools & means of production have a valid (in date) maintenance & calibration status.
Notify Paintshop leadership team of any issues identified with tooling maintenance / availability.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment, and organise 5S initiatives.
Adopt the culture of quality basics, driving Continuous Improvement as an attitude within the business.
Job Requirements
Skills/Requirements:
1. Previous experience of using a wide range of materials & tools that demand a high level of manual dexterity.
2. Able to work within a small team using own initiative to achieve production demand.
3. Ability to interpret process documentation and work instructions (WIS) to ensure defined processes are adhered to.
4. Possess good spatial awareness.
5. Experience working in an environmentally controlled production environment.
6. Basic IS systems & computer skills.
7. Capable of communicating clearly and concisely.
8. Able to escalate at the right time and at the right level.
9. A good team player.
