Are you an experienced Accounts Manager looking for an exciting new opportunity? Our client, a dynamic and well-established organisation based in Basildon, is seeking a talented individual to join their team. With a focus on managing and processing invoices, as well as overseeing various financial tasks, this role offers a chance to make a significant impact in a thriving company. Responsibilities:
1. Take charge of the management and processing of sales and purchase invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company approval controls and payment matrix.
2. Serve as the primary payment processor for all supplier payment runs, expenses, ad hoc and manual payments, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
3. Utilise SAGE 50, File Star, and Construction Manager applications for daily input, responsibility, and maintenance of financial data.
4. Prepare monthly credit reconciliations, making certain that all third-party payments are executed in a timely manner in line with agreed timetables and deadlines.
5. Collaborate closely with the company's accountants on month-end entries, reconciliations, and the preparation of work for month-end and year-end closure.
6. Reconcile bank accounts and monitor credit control activities to optimise financial processes.
7. Apply your expertise in the preparation and administration of Payroll, including Auto-Enrolment.
8. Manage VAT returns, cashflow, and year-end functionalities to ensure compliance and accurate financial management.
9. Generate monthly management reports and provide relevant information to stakeholders as needed.
10. Process employee expenses claims and assist with other office functions as required.
11. Undertake additional tasks and projects within your experience, skills, and capabilities as agreed with your Line Manager.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as an Accounts Manager, demonstrating proficiency in the management and processing of invoices.
2. Excellent knowledge of Sage Accounts, Sage Payroll, and Construction Manager.
3. Familiarity with the Construction Industry Scheme.
4. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
