Salary: MPS1 – UPS3

A highly regarded and welcoming primary school in Harrow is seeking a qualified and passionate Nursery Teacher to join their early years team on a maternity cover basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed teacher to work with a happy and engaged class. While there are some children with mild SEN, the class is well-behaved and eager to learn.

Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and creative lessons following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
* Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity and exploration.
* Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all children, including those with mild SEN.
* Work closely with teaching assistants, SEN staff, and external professionals to ensure the best support for every child.
* Foster positive relationships with parents and carers, providing regular feedback on children’s progress.
* Conduct ongoing assessments to track development and tailor learning accordingly.
* Maintain a high standard of classroom management while promoting a nurturing and encouraging atmosphere.
What We Are Looking For:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* A strong understanding of the EYFS framework and early childhood development.
* Experience working with young children, ideally in a nursery or early years setting.
* Confidence in differentiating lessons and adapting teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
* Strong classroom management skills with the ability to foster independence and a love of learning.
* A collaborative and proactive approach, working well within a team and engaging with the wider school community.
