We wish to appoint a Finance Assistant in the Student Finance Office. The office is responsible for the collection of tuition fees, the financial administration of the University UG and PG bursary schemes, administration of US Federal Aid funding, and for providing advice and guidance in relation to tuition fees. About the role The role is strongly customer-focused and you must demonstrate an ability to perform well within a team, and also be able to use initiative while working alone when dealing with customer enquiries. The role is varied and interesting, and we would like to recruit a motivated individual to join our small team You will need to be well organised, with a strong administrative background and experience of working in a busy office environment. You should possess excellent customer service and communication skills, with a common-sense approach to problem solving. You will also need initiative and good judgement. You will be expected to be able to operate a number of software packages both bespoke to the University as well as more general software, such as Microsoft Office, and training will be given as required. Further information This is a part-time role (30 hours per week) to cover parental leave, starting in March 2025 for up to one year or the early return of the post holder.
