About the role To provide the provision of play and leisure activities, therapeutic or generic, within the home, and community environments to Babies, Children and Young People who are receiving end-of-life care from Rainbows Childrens Hospice. Some of the key responsibilities include (but not limited to): To assess, plan, implement and evaluate individual programmes of activity for the Babies, Child and Young People within the home and community. Support family members and help create memory making activities using specialist skills. Advise, support and signpost family members with regards to specialist play. To carry out complex and highly sensitive conversations with families regarding end-of-life care, providing recommendations on suitable activities and advising on appropriate timings of these activities. Requirements For this role you will need to have to have the following essential criteria: Fully Qualified Health Play Specialist & registered with HPSET. Experience working with Babies, Children and/or Young People of all ages. Experience with Babies, Children and/or Young People with complex and/or palliative needs.
