Technical Project Engineer
Location: Kidderminster
Working Hours: Monday - Friday 9:00AM – 5:00PM
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 DOE

We are specialists in heavy engineering equipment and maximizing the service performance of plant equipment that is used to convey, store, or process materials. Due to continual growth, we now have a requirement for a Technical Project Engineer to join our team. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established and continually growing company based in the Midlands.
The company is entering an exciting phase with a "buy & build" strategy planned for the next 7 years. This means we are expanding and acquiring new business opportunities. For the right person, this is a chance to be part of driving major operational improvements and growth.
Key Skills / Responsibilities
1. Must be proficient with AutoCAD and will be working closely with Design Engineers.
2. Responsible for handling customer orders, ranging from supply-only contracts to full turnkey projects (design, manufacture, installation, and commissioning).
3. Overseeing project sites, managing resources, providing information to help generate quotes and estimate costs, and ensuring that all customer expectations are exceeded.
4. Conducting site visits and creating design solutions using CAD software and preparing risk assessments and method statements for project work.
5. Managing both in-house and on-site projects.
6. Collaborating with sales teams to develop estimates and project specifications and ensure that materials and equipment are ready for upcoming projects.
7. You must be proactive, confident, and committed to the company’s future growth.
8. You will play a visible role in the company, meaning you must be hands-on, engage actively with the team, and take ownership of projects.
9. Strong communication skills are key since the engineer will work closely with key stakeholders, including the Production Manager, Operations Manager, and Directors, as well as the wider staff and customers.
10. Proven experience in project and technical engineering, preferably within small to mid-sized manufacturing or engineering firms.
11. Have a mechanical background and solid knowledge of the manufacturing industry, including site services and customer interaction.
