About the role
The First Federation Trust, a Multi Academy Trust of 29 primary schools across Devon and Dorset, including Charmouth Primary School.
Charmouth Primary School and Nursery in West Dorset is situated on the beautiful Jurassic Coast in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This modern, purpose-built school lies in the heart of the traditional seaside village, only a stone’s throw from the beach where the school extends its learning with outdoor activities including rock pooling, art, beach cleans and more.
The school provides for children from the age of three, offering a friendly, safe and nurturing environment with excellent connections with the local community. Based on the edge of west Dorset and East Devon, the school can be reached from Exeter, Taunton and Weymouth.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and highly motivated individual to work alongside the class teacher to support teaching and learning.
The successful candidate will be required to:
* Deliver targeted interventions
* Promote inclusion through the development of social skills, language and emotional well-being
* Work under the direction of the class teacher and liaise with other professionals both within and outside the school
* Show a high degree of initiative and be able to react to given situations with integrity and compassion
This post is fixed term until 31 August 2025, 32.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year.
