We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated clinical pharmacist, with an interest in Gastroenterology, to join our forward-thinking, dynamic, and patient-focused clinical pharmacy team.
We welcome applications from motivated and driven pharmacists. You must be efficient, organised, resourceful, and able to work as a team or autonomously.
The primary aim of this role is to provide specialist pharmacy input to the Gastroenterology team. The successful postholder will collaborate with the Gastroenterology multidisciplinary team, ensuring the safe and appropriate use of high-cost medicines.
The role will expose the postholder to a wide range of stakeholders within the Gastroenterology team and will provide an opportunity to develop leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Work closely with other pharmacists to lead the ward-based clinical pharmacy service to the gastroenterology ward.
2. Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support gastroenterology day case patients and outpatient clinics, including supporting the processing of gastroenterology biologic homecare prescriptions.
3. Act as the responsible pharmacist in the inpatient dispensary.
4. Contribute to the provision of the extended hours and on-call pharmacy service.
