Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks within the warehouse environment, including heavy lifting, stock management, and materials handling. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse processes, contributing to efficient shipping and receiving activities.
Responsibilities
1. Load and unload materials from lorries and containers efficiently.
2. Stock shelves and maintain an organised inventory system.
3. Build and assemble products as necessary.
4. Utilise the AS400 system for inventory tracking and management.
5. Assist with shipping and receiving duties, ensuring accurate documentation.
6. Operate forklifts safely to move large items within the warehouse.
7. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working in the warehouse environment.
8. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse space.
Experience
1. Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not essential.
2. Familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous.
3. Experience in materials handling and knowledge of shipping/receiving processes is beneficial.
4. Ability to operate a forklift is desirable; training may be provided for suitable candidates.
5. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work as part of a team are essential qualities for this role.
