What we're looking for:
We seek a passionate Chef de Partie eager to develop skills and continue learning. You should be positive, communicative, and maintain high work standards. Demonstrable basic culinary skills and safe kitchen practices are essential.
A day in the life:
As a Chef de Partie, you'll work in a dynamic hotel kitchen alongside chefs of all levels. You'll lead a kitchen section, working across various outlets including the restaurant, lounge bar, room service, and events. Supporting and mentoring junior chefs is part of your role.
You will ensure high standards in kitchen safety, hygiene, and cleanliness, taking a leadership role during service to ensure smooth operations and good communication with front-of-house staff.
1. Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house teams.
2. Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing support and guidance.
3. Prepare and cook meals according to brand standards, leading sections in starters, mains, and desserts.
4. Handle food prep for restaurant and events kitchens.
5. Manage deliveries, stock control, and record keeping.
6. Maintain high food hygiene standards and ensure food safety compliance.
7. Oversee stock rotation, replenishment, and ordering.
8. Control portions and waste to maximize profit.
