Role Title: Deskside Support Technician
Salary: £30,500
Location: Swindon
Are you a skilled IT Support Engineer with a passion for troubleshooting and problem-solving? Do you have extensive experience diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues across desktops, laptops, printers, and more? If so, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
* Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, and printers.
* Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems and applications.
* Provide first and second-line support for IT-related queries and incidents.
* Maintain IT infrastructure, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
* Set up and maintain user accounts, email systems, and network access.
* Assist with IT asset management and procurement.
* Document solutions and contribute to the IT knowledge base.
* Work closely with other IT team members to provide seamless support to employees.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in an IT Support Engineer or similar role.
* Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware (laptops, desktops, printers, etc.) and software issues.
* Proficiency with Windows and Mac operating systems.
* Experience with networking, Active Directory, and Office 365.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft, or Cisco (desirable but not required).
