Head of Curriculum - Access to HE, Health & Social Care
£44,714 - £48,727 per annum
36 hours per week, full time, permanent
Monday - Friday with support on designated open weekends across the year as part of the Duty Manager/on-call rota.
This is an exciting new opportunity to join our Leadership team. We are looking for a passionate and experienced Head of Curriculum who will work as part of the Curriculum Management team to ensure the College achieves its strategic priorities and grows our provision.
We're looking for someone who enjoys problem solving and wants to shape our provision through identifying new opportunities and partners to increase our reach and impact. You will work to build strong partnerships with employers and healthcare providers to help develop the provision and ensure that our curriculum meets local, regional and industry demands.
With experience in delivering or managing Access to HE you will have experience of effective curriculum management and an ability to determine an imaginative vision for the curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, implementation and management of an agreed area of the College’s curriculum to ensure it meets both funder and individual student need.
To work with the Director of Quality and Curriculum Development to set an annual curriculum plan and associated budget.
To have responsibility and oversight for all aspects of quality monitoring and improvement within the agreed curriculum area including the implementation of College procedures and processes in line with the Education Inspection Framework.
Manage an agreed area of curriculum in preparation for, and as a result of inspections and reviews including delivering the departmental SAR .
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Experience and knowledge of Access to HE is essential, knowledge and experience of Health and Social Care, Counselling, English and Maths would be beneficial.
Knowledge of FE / HE / Adult Education funding methodologies and experience of adapting curriculum to maximise opportunities for funding.
Level 5 Teaching qualification
Degree level qualification in relevant subject or equivalent
Assessor/IQA qualification
English & maths at Level 2 or above
