SEN Teaching Assistant | Primary School | Immediate Interviews Start: ASAP Role: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Grays, Essex Contract: Full time Rate: £90-£115 per day We are looking for a superb 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant looking to advance your experience in Education. If you are, we have a fantastic opportunity for you. As a SEN Teaching Assistant you will be supporting a student with moderate ASD in a 1:1 setting. The child is on a EHCP(Educational Health Care Plan) and you will be adhering to the plan using your fantastic SEN experience. We welcome your 1:1 support and want you to strive at this flourishing Secondary SEN School whilst collaborating with the classroom teacher and other professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for the student. The ideal candidate SEN Teaching Assistant: Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting. Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods. Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations. Required Skills & Qualifications: Experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly with SEMH students. A solid understanding of SEMH and effective behaviour management strategies. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals.
