Our client, a well-regarded and forward-thinking secondary academy based in Braintree, Essex, is seeking to appoint a passionate and motivated Early Careers Teacher (ECT) of Drama to join their vibrant performing arts department.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a newly qualified teacher who is enthusiastic about Drama education and is committed to inspiring creativity, confidence, and expression in young people. Key Responsibilities:
1. Teach engaging and imaginative Drama lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
2. Foster a love of performance and storytelling while developing students' skills in acting, devising, and script work
3. Contribute to extra-curricular activities, including school productions, drama clubs, and performance showcases
4. Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment
5. Demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
1. QTS or pending QTS status (with a PGCE or equivalent qualification in Drama or Performing Arts)
2. A strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for Drama education
3. The ability to inspire students of all abilities and encourage creative exploration
4. Excellent classroom management skills and a proactive, team-focused approach
5. A desire to contribute to the wider school community through enrichment and performance opportunities
