The initial posting for this role would be within our Official Receiver Services Directorate (‘ORS’) which is responsible for the investigation and administration of bankruptcies and compulsory liquidations. You would work in the Official Receivers’ office in Nottingham, to support the identification, protection and realisation of assets in bankruptcy and compulsory liquidation cases. You would also work closely with technical staff to support the work we do in identifying misconduct and criminality in the cases we deal with to provide protection to the wider economy.

Our Administration Officers (‘AO’) work within operational teams dealing with a range of bankruptcy & compulsory liquidation matters including:
* Working as part of an administration support team dealing with a range of administrative and casework matters
* Managing own work to prioritise and complete assigned tasks
* Liaising with the court on applications and hearings
* Dealing with members of the public and private sector firms (e.g. solicitors) by telephone, in writing and in person
* Issuing reports to creditors and routine correspondence
* Liaising with specialist staff on technical matters
* Dealing with the realisation of assets to enable returns to creditors
* Liaising with both internal and external stakeholders by telephone, in writing and in person
* Inputting and updating information on case management systems
* Reviewing and maintaining accurate case records to progress work in a timely manner
* Dealing with distribution of funds to creditors
* Providing general clerical support
The vacancy is based at the Official Receiver’s office in Nottingham and the successful candidate will be flexible and obtain experience working in different areas of the business as and when required.
Responsibilities
Main Duties
* Business Delivery
* Administer bankruptcies/liquidations, including securing assets, and the realisation and distribution of assets to creditors in accordance with Service and office policies, targets & objectives.
* Dealing with our customers
* Deliver a quality service to the public in accordance with the Service Standards. To answer telephone calls within the required standards
* Case reviews
* To maintain effective case records. Prepare for and take part in casework /work review meetings with your manager. Ensure work is being prioritised and progressed appropriately.
Additional Support Duties
* To provide cover/support within the office as and when needed.
Personal Development
* Take responsibility for own personal development utilising 5 days of personal development during the year and take steps to improve own skills and knowledge.
Essential criteria
A GCSE (or equivalent qualification) at Grade 4/C or higher in English Language and Mathematics.
