Dalton Court Care Home is a busy nursing home on the edge of the Lake District National Park, supporting up to 60 residents with various needs. In addition to the Physically Frail unit, we also have a unit dedicated to caring for those living with Dementia. We also provide end of life care.
As our Activities Coordinator, you will look to create, plan, lead and organise an interesting and varied program of daily activities, entertainment and events, enriching the lives of the residents. Duties may include:
1. Liaise with external companies to organise entertainment
2. Listening to the residents to aid producing a popular program of events/activities/entertainment
3. Work alongside care staff, coordinating hairdressing/chiropody visits etc.
4. Organise raffles & fundraising events for the residents/home.
We are looking for a bright, outgoing, creative person. The ideal person will be organised and have some experience working within the care sector, therefore being able to understand the needs of residents aiding activity choices. No experience as an Activities Coordinator is required but a positive, enthusiastic attitude is a must.
