Senior Building Surveyor

We are currently looking for a Senior Building Surveyor to fill a permanent opening with a global property consultancy located in the City Centre of Leeds, only a 5 minute walk away from the nearest commuter links.
Responsibilities of the Senior Building Surveyor:
1. Advising clients about building/property issues, which can include technical, financial, legal, environmental/sustainability, building regulation and restoration matters.
2. Undertaking building surveys.
3. Monitoring the deterioration or defects of a property and offering advice on repair work.
4. Delivering projects from inception to completion to meet the project's objectives.
5. Negotiating the repair of work or a financial settlement if required.
6. Managing projects and/or multidisciplinary teams.
7. Diligently handling all instructions and maintaining comprehensive records for all work undertaken.
8. Contract Administration.
9. Dilapidation Liability Assessment Reports on behalf of Landlord and Tenant.
10. Party Wall Duties.
Requirements of the Senior Building Surveyor:
1. Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).
2. At least 3 years postgraduate experience with provable technical delivery experience.
3. Significant exposure to, and good working relations with private sector clients.
4. IT skills (AutoCAD, NBS, MS Project, Outlook, Word, Excel and other bespoke software).
On offer for the Senior Building Surveyor:
1. The starting salary for this position ranges from £55,000 to £60,000 inclusive of car allowance.
2. A sliding scale pension of between 5-15%.
3. Annual discretionary bonus.
