Role: CNC Machinist (Turner)
Main Purpose of Job:
Operating Okuma and Mazak lathes, machining exotic materials (such as Inconel
625,718 and Titanium) to a tolerance of +/- 0.005mm. Parts dimensions are up to
200mm in diameter X 150mm max. Interpreting technical drawings and specifications to
understand the machining task. Updating tool wear offsets, loading programs and basic
set ups.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Must have small to medium turning experience
* Ideally Okuma OSP, Fanuc and Mazatrol experience
* Familiarity with exotic alloys preferred but not essential
* Maintaining and owning the quality of the products machined
* Following and maintaining all documentation standards required
* Working to fine tolerances within a Six Sigma environment
* Working to production schedules to meet output requirements
* Carrying out planned health and safety checks of equipment.
* Maintain high house-keeping standards
* In depth Training can be provided on the lathes if required.
Usual Hours of Work
- Current Mornings/Afternoon Shifts
Mornings 6am – 2pm Monday to Friday
Afternoons 2pm – 11pm Monday to Wednesday
2pm – 10:30pm Thursday & 2pm – 6pm Friday.
Please note company standard shift pattern is Monday – Friday = 6am to 2pm and Monday – Friday 2pm to 10pm – the company reserves the right to revert to this pattern dependant on business need.
Able to work overtime as requested to meet business needs
Flexibility required for Nightshift dependant of business needs (Increased Shift %
would apply)
