I am recruiting exclusively for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading Construction main contractor to cover high profile projects in the Defense sector.
We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our clients building solutions team based in Basingstoke.
The role will be working as part of a hugely successful commercial team, working on projects which include, refurbishments, fit-out and construction.
Our client is looking for an NEC contract experienced Senior QS, who has experience in Building Services or Construction.

Package:
Salary - £70k £80k PLUS car or car allowance
Location : Basingstoke - Hybrid working available, with travel to offices and sites as required
Hours : 40 hours per week, full time
What will you be responsible for?
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the Building Solutions Team, supporting them in the delivery and management of the commercial resources of assigned projects .
Your day to day will include:
* To implement and comply with Business Policy and procedures for commercial functional governance.
* To maximise the planned gross margin on the project and support the achievement of the project's budgeted profitability.
* Tender, evaluate, recommend and appoint consultants, subcontractors and to place orders for materials and plant within the delegated authorities.
* To identify/ evaluate, communicate, negotiate and agree the project managers variations to contracts with customers and suppliers within the delegated authorities and requirements of the contract.
* Implement polices for price, costs and gross margins.
* Manage a number of Quantity Surveyors
What are we looking for?
This role of Senior Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:
* Holds the relevant qualifications (Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying desirable).
* Experience within a similar role.
* Willing to undertake training and development when appropriate.
* Must be flexible and able to work as part of a team and using own initiative.
* NEC contract experience would be beneficial
* Ability to use a range of IT packages including Microsoft Office and bespoke packages.
