Our client is a leading manufacturer of precision parts for the aerospace industry. They are looking to add an experienced Mechanically biased Design Engineer to their team on a permanent basis. Responsibilities:
* The role will be responsible for the design of forgings, tools, and dies to meet customer requirements.
* Design and manufacture of complex metal components and supply products worldwide to prestigious blue-chip customers.
* This will involve the production of all necessary drawings and documentation to support, as well as the recommendation and implementation of any system modifications.
* The role is also responsible for compiling working manuals and records to allow forging operations to be effectively carried out.
Knowledge & Experience:
* Candidates should have an Engineering Degree, preferably in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, with at least 4 years of relevant experience gained within an engineering business.
* Candidates should have prior experience within a design role and strong knowledge of 3D CAD software (preferably Creo).
* You must have strong IT skills, including Mini Tab and preferably Power BI.
* Strong organizational and communication skills.
* Familiarity with metals and basic metallurgy knowledge would be advantageous.

* Monday to Thursday 8am to 4:15pm.
* Friday - 8am to 3pm.
