We are recruiting for Caretakers at Caerphilly County Borough Council. Working hours: 12 Hours/0 hours Contract Type: Part Time/Casual/Relief - Fixed Term until 31-03-2026 Location: Tirphil Community Centre This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Community and Leisure Services Team. We pay an attractive salary of £12.65 Per hour and offer access to training and development opportunities. The successful applicants will be responsible for helping to provide a safe, clean and warm environment in which customers can engage in social, recreational and educational activities. The post requires a good knowledge of health and safety legislation and use of mechanical cleaning appliances. The job entails significant manual handling in preparing the venue for use by user groups. You will also be responsible for security, and act as a custodian of the premises. In post training can be provided. There will be a need for evening and particularly weekend work including late night lock ups. It will be essential that the post holder can access the centre quickly and if necessary, several times per day. For the role, we ask that you have: Awareness of the way that voluntary building management operates. Ability to organise and manage own workload.
