WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Join our Waste Resources Management team as a Project Manager and play a pivotal role in delivering waste management planning solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in municipal waste operations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage complex projects.
JOB DUTIES
1. Develop and oversee comprehensive waste management planning projects.
2. Conduct Waste Audits – Assess current practices and identify areas for improvement.
3. Regulatory Compliance – Ensure practices comply with regulations.
4. Forecast Waste Trends – Analyze patterns and advise clients.
5. Waste Diversion Strategies – Develop strategies to reduce landfill waste.
6. Sustainability Initiatives – Advise on sustainable practices.
7. Technology Evaluation – Recommend new technologies for efficiency.
8. Public Outreach and Education – Lead community outreach programs.
9. Budgeting and Cost Estimation – Prepare cost estimates and budgets.
10. Collaboration with Stakeholders – Work with government agencies and organizations.
11. Data Management and Reporting – Collect and analyze data.
12. Drive project planning and execution.
13. Build and nurture client relationships.
14. Ensure financial success.
15. Uphold health and safety standards.
16. Mentor and develop junior personnel.
17. Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Job Requirements
1. A post-secondary education in engineering, science, environmental science, or a related discipline.
2. 5 years of relevant employment experience in waste solutions.
3. Familiarity with Ontario waste and environmental legislation.
4. Outstanding organizational and communication skills.
5. Ability to work well under pressure.
6. Exceptional problem-solving skills.
7. Proficiency with sector-related software and Microsoft Office.
8. Fluency in English.
9. Valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle.
