Elevation Senior Finance is currently looking to recruit a Financial Controller on behalf of a Manufacturing organisation based in the Central Belt of Scotland.
This is a fantastic and exciting opportunity within a fast-paced manufacturing business. You will be working closely with senior management to increase the company’s efficiency and profitability by assisting with the formulation of both the medium and long-term financial plan and serving as a crucial link between finance and the wider business. Producing the month and yearly results, whilst ensuring the senior leadership team receives value-adding management reports and support which drive decision-making.
Key duties and responsibilities will include:
1. Ensuring strong financial controls are in place and are effective
2. Continuous improvement of an effective control environment to manage financial, operational and business risks
3. Control and manage accounting processes and records of operational budgets, manage cost control practices and cash flow
4. Monthly management reporting, providing insightful business performance analysis to the senior leadership team
5. Technical accounting support and identifying and improving efficiency and compliance of processes
6. Building new processes across the wider finance team
7. Preparation, analysis and reporting of annual financial performance
8. Participate in business tactical and strategic discussions
9. Preparation of budgets and regular forecasting
10. Participate in the continuous analysis and review of site profitability by individual production activity & provide financial support to bring about change
11. Conduct performance reviews, design development plans and set annual goals and competencies for finance team
12. Preparation of reports, coordination and liaison with external auditors
Elevation Accountancy & Finance would be keen to speak with candidates with the following skills and experiences:
1. CIMA, ACCA OR ACA Qualified
2. Ideally relevant experience in Manufacturing
3. Stakeholder management and influencing
4. Commercial and operational decision support
5. Strong IT skills, including advanced Excel
6. Experience of managing and leading teams
