A Primary School located in Halesowen are looking to recruit a Behaviour Learning Support to support a year 4 boy with challenging behaviours. The school feel a male candidate may work better with the child but would be open to meet any suitable candidates. A keen interest in sports would be advantageous when dealing with the child's behaviour and using sports to calm down situations before returning the child to class. They are looking to engage with someone who is experienced working with challenging behaviours and resilient in implementing behaviour strategies. There has been an increase in the number of exclusions during the past Academic year, and due to this the SENCO is looking to increase behavioural support in the school to work alongside those who are at risk of inclusion. The ideal candidate will Be experienced supporting children with challenging behaviours. Worked 1:1 support and small group support with SEMH (Social Emotional Mental Health Needs) Have a calm, nurturing approach with clear expectations. A keen interest in Sports. Be confident building positive relationships with pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds to help them progress both socially and academically.
