The pay may be negotiated and may rise after a probation period has been successfully completed.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
* Support the office in administration roles as determined by the Lead Patient Co-ordinators
* Assist with the processing of post - both paper and electronic
* Help with the patient registration process
* Answer the telephone and deal with patient queries
* Provide a good service to patients
* Book appointments for a variety of clinicians
* Handle the surgery's social media platforms and advertise national awareness campaigns
* Support the IT team with their day-to-day duties
* Liaise with GPs, nurses, admin, and patients to ensure smooth running of the surgery

Training

Your training plan
The completion of this Apprenticeship Standard will require monthly training visits from a qualified IPS Trainer to help support the apprentice develop skills and progress the building of the apprentice portfolio to prepare the learner for End Point Assessment.
For this Apprenticeship Standard, learners can benefit from the completion of the BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration and the apprentice will be required to undertake knowledge tests within this program and build a portfolio of evidence that will prepare them for Gateway once agreed between the Employer, Apprentice, and Trainer to prepare for End Point Assessment.
Apprentices without Level 2 English and mathematics will need to achieve this level prior to taking the End Point Assessment via Functional Skills training.
