What's the role?
As a Quality Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring manufacturing excellence. Working closely with the Head of Quality and Head of Manufacturing, you will lead the charge in reducing non-conformities, enhancing processes, and integrating state-of-the-art technology into our quality control systems. You’ll manage a dedicated Operational Quality Team, oversee inspections, and foster collaboration between quality, engineering, and manufacturing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead Quality Assurance – Implement and maintain quality standards to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
* Drive Process Improvements – Enhance key manufacturing processes including Goods Inward, Production Control, and Non-Conformity Management.
* Manage & Develop Teams – Lead the Inspection department, coach team members, and introduce training initiatives.
* Advance Technology – Leverage hardware and software solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy in quality control.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration – Act as a key quality representative in production meetings and drive alignment across teams.
* Continuous Improvement – Monitor KPIs, conduct audits, and implement Lean/Six Sigma principles to drive efficiency.
Person Specification:
* Performed a Quality Manager / Lead position within an advanced manufacturing or precision engineering industry
* Strong knowledge of ISO standards, Lean/Six Sigma methodologies, and root cause analysis
* Experience with quality management systems and process audits
* A proactive leader with strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
