Look no further! We have a fantastic opportunity for a Social Worker to join our team here at Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council.
The Adult Learning Disability Social Work Team is located at Wessex House Falcon Court Preston Farm Stockton on Tees.
The team works with individuals experiencing severe and enduring mental health disorders and their families and/or carers.
We are committed to promoting independence, choice and control and promoting Self Directed Support where people are eligible for social care services.
You will need to have an understanding of the needs of people with mental disorders and their carers and have an enabling person-centred approach, which promotes independence. The key responsibilities of this role are to manage a complex caseload, including forensic cases and to undertake AMPH duties.

Due to the requirement of frequent travel between venues across the Borough, a full driving licence and access to a motor vehicle is required for this role.
It is anticipated that appointments will be made at Grade K - M of the career grade to maintain a skills balance within the team. At this time, applicants must have completed ASYE year and have at least 1 year post-qualifying experience, while meeting the requirements for a Grade K and above.
This is a part-time role of 18.5 hours per week.
