TKAT Teacher Training (TKAT SCITT) is looking to appoint a highly skilled practitioner as a Programme Lead to support the training and development of our trainees undertaking initial teacher training. This post is offered as a secondment or 2 year fixed term contract and is open to either primary or secondary practitioners. This role will primarily be based in our Essex and City Academies. Please note that this is a Fixed Term contract position ending 31st August 2027. The preferred candidate will: have a clear understanding of what is effective teaching and learning and can demonstrate measurable impact in the classroom have experience of training, coaching and mentoring within Initial Teacher Training or ECF be able to demonstrate up to date pedagogical knowledge and commitment to professional development have the ability to design and deliver engaging curriculum materials demonstrate strong administrative, organisational and time management skills have a commitment to the welfare and well-being of trainees on the programme This role sits within the wider team of the TKAT’s Learning and Development Network and the Programme Lead will be responsible and accountable for ensuring the effective implementation of the SCITT programme. The position will predominantly be based regionally - it is likely that the majority of the work will be based in Essex and city areas but an element of travel across the South East of England will be expected at certain times.
