Overview of the Position As a Machinist you will be part of a skilled team making high quality Timber frames and doors for the construction and service industries.
This role is permanent, full-time and reports to the Production Supervisor.
Key Duties and Responsibilities Set and run a variety of machines within the Production Manufacturing departments.
(Saws, spindles, moulder etc) Follow production schedules to achieve production targets.
Communicate stock requirements for upcoming jobs.
Ensure quality standards are met and maintained.
Complete all paperwork in line with Quality Management Systems.
Assist with improvements and efficiencies in all aspects of production.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Operate required hand tools.
Carry out other duties as required.
The Person/Experience Qualified in NVQ Level 2 / 3 in Carpentry / Joinery (Preferred).
5 years of experience within a Joinery / Manufacturing Environment.
(preferred) Ability to interpret and read workshop / design drawings Demonstrate knowledge of timber.
Ability to set up work pieces and tools.
Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills.
