Our client is now looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join them on a full-time, permanent basis, working 40 hours per week on a variety of shifts Monday-Thursday, 12 noon - 10pm or Monday-Thursday 6am - 4pm.

The Role
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will oversee the reliability and efficiency of production equipment, ensuring smooth operations and continuous improvement. Specifically, you will perform preventative, reactive, and improvement maintenance, resolving electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults, while repairing and enhancing mechanical components to improve efficiency and machine performance. You will also assist in the implementation and maintenance of quality systems, such as BRCGS, and ensure the company complies with all areas of the Health and Safety at Work Legislation.
About You
To be considered as a Maintenance Engineer, you will need:
* To be a time-served Electrical Maintenance Engineer with a minimum of three years post-apprenticeship experience
* Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food or packaging
* Expertise in preventative, reactive, and improvement maintenance
* Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic fault resolution
* The ability to repair mechanical components such as belts, bearings, chains, and sprockets
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work on your own initiative
* A good understanding of technical diagrams and manuals
* Good communication skills
* Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
