Group Commercial Director, Omagh Artemis Executive Search is delighted to be retained by Foyle Food Group as they look to strengthen their leadership team with the appointment of a Group Commercial Director. One of the UK and Irelands leading red meat processors, Foyle Food Group is a £500M turnover business operating across five sites and supplying major retailers and foodservice customers, including Tesco via Hilton Food Group, Lidl, Fairfax Meadow, OSI, Greencore and Cranswick. With continued investment and expansion, including a £15M state-of-the-art retail packing facility, they are now looking for a strategic and commercially driven Group Commercial Director to lead and grow their sales operations. The Opportunity Reporting to the CEO, this is a high-profile role with full responsibility for shaping and delivering the Groups commercial strategy. Leading a 15-strong sales team, you will drive business growth, manage key accounts to maximise sales and profitability, and unlock new market opportunities. With a strong understanding of agri-food and red meat, you will ensure Foyle Food Group continues to be a leading supplier in a fast-moving, competitive industry. This is a hands-on, results-driven role, requiring a balance of strategic leadership, business development, and commercial contract management. What Youll Be Responsible For: You will design, communicate, and deliver the Group commercial strategy maximising the potential of the Groups products and services, to support delivery against KPIs and contracts. Playing a hands-on role in respect of all key commercial contracts you will be responsible for new business development, negotiations, and commercial contracts in line with proposed budgeted growth. You will monitor and evaluate emerging business opportunities with a view to positioning Foyle Food Group in these markets and drive new product development to increase product values. You will review contract status reports, assessing financial performance and providing strategic guidance and recommendations for improvement working closely with the Executive team. You will maintain regular communication with customers, ensuring exceptional product quality and supply chain service. Youll proactively address any issues, providing swift resolutions while relaying key insights to production and technical teams. You will analyse sales opportunities with the Sales and planning teams to ensure profitability is maximised and lead and develop marketing strategies within the Foyle Food Group. Ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, ethical and social requirements you will promote equality of opportunity and diversity within your area of responsibility while actively leading, planning, and encouraging innovation. The Person You are a senior commercial, results driven leader with experience in agri-food, red meat processing and have a proven track record in managing key accounts and growing sales with major retailers, foodservice providers, and international customers. A strong negotiator you can secure and manage high-value contracts and have experience in leading and developing sales teams, driving performance, and embedding a commercial mindset. A strategic thinker with the ability to identify new opportunities and deliver profitable growth you are financially and commercially astute, with a strong understanding of pricing, margins, and market dynamics.
