We are looking for an experienced Sales Engineer with a solid background in control systems engineering, particularly in the commissioning and testing of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programs. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of hands-on experience in the control systems industry, with a deep understanding of control solutions and the ability to translate technical expertise into customer value. This role involves identifying client needs, providing technical guidance, and presenting our solutions to achieve sales targets and ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with clients to understand and assess their control system requirements and recommend suitable solutions.
2. Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and detailed technical discussions to showcase the benefits of our control systems.
3. Work closely with the engineering team to customize PLC programs and ensure solutions align with client specifications.
4. Perform on-site commissioning and troubleshooting as needed to support customer installations and resolve technical issues.
5. Provide expert insights on PLC program testing, debugging, and optimization for industrial automation solutions.
6. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, aiming to understand and anticipate future needs.
7. Prepare and deliver quotes, proposals, and contracts, working with the internal team to manage project timelines and budgets.
8. Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, and technological advancements to remain a trusted advisor to clients.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 4 years of experience in control systems engineering with a focus on commissioning, programming, and testing PLCs.
3. Proven knowledge of PLC platforms such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or similar systems.
4. Strong problem-solving skills and technical aptitude in troubleshooting control systems.
5. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical information to a non-technical audience.
6. Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience with SCADA systems, HMI configuration, and industrial network protocols.
2. Sales experience or a strong aptitude for technical sales is advantageous.
3. Certifications in control systems engineering or PLC programming are a plus.

Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
