Job Overview
* Work independently and accountably as part of a team of clinicians.

Main Duties of the Job
* Work autonomously formulating activity programmes for patients.
* Assess, instruct and supervise people in both individual and group activities.
* Lead activities with people who have varying abilities.
* Independently plan appropriate exercises and wellbeing programmes.
* Help plan new physical health and well-being initiatives.
* Keep accurate records of individual exercise programmes.
* Co-ordinate and develop a range of health promotion activities.
* Engage and coach individuals around their health and lifestyle.
* Develop a professional rapport with people to encourage motivation in health and wellbeing.
* Deal sensitively with people who have acute mental illness.

Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities
* Complete mandatory training in line with the Trust Policy.
* Receive annual appraisal and provide annual appraisals to lower banded staff.
* Take all allocated annual leave.
* Attend MDT meetings.
* Receive management and clinical supervision.
* Attend seminars/conferences and other CPD events.
* Attend regular key Trust-wide meetings/forums.
* Identify own stressors and take action to prevent negative impact on wellbeing.
