* 12-month contract, starting on/before 12 May
The successful candidate will work across all aspects of the organisation’s activities: the annual awards, industry programmes, and ongoing social campaigns. This is a unique opportunity for an organised, enthusiastic independent film fan with a flair for communications and administration. This role would suit a motivated, creative, and reliable forward thinker who enjoys working as part of a small team.
As the first point of call for external communications across all aspects of BIFA’s work, you will assist in the delivery of effective social media and email campaigns to support BIFA’s annual activities. The role will input into wider marketing plans and campaign activities, attending film screenings and industry events as needed. We’re a very small team, so everyone gets involved in everything, and effective public communication is essential to the impact of all aspects of our work. Therefore, you’ll be supporting the communications and administrative efforts that underpin our high-profile events and programmes – our award ceremony, our training and talent development programmes, and our audience development work.
Person Specifications

Time Management and Multi-tasking: We are a small team, and our awards timeline gets very tight, especially in the Autumn, so a calm head under pressure is also very important.
