Team Leader – Overtonlea Care Services, Community Care Resources - Shetland Islands Council
£ 49,.20 - £ 51,.49 per year inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance of £2, per annum .

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced or aspiring Team Leader to lead our friendly, supportive team at Overtonlea Care Services.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and flexible individual who can inspire and lead their team to deliver professional, personalised and outcome focused care to customers within our residential care home.
As successful candidate, you will be central to achieving, ensuing and maintaining excellent services for our clients, whilst leading the team to ensure performance and regulatory standards are maintained.
You will lead the team to achieve the customer focussed, effective and efficient delivery of the service plan, service improvement and outcomes required in accordance with agreed specifications, service standards, performance targets and costs and be responsible for effective delivery of services in accordance with the Council’s values, objectives, targets and statutory obligations.
You must have:
1. Excellent organisational skills and be a clear and effective communicator.
2. A high level of personal motivation and ability to motivate others.
3. Knowledge of best practice and relevant legislation.
4. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to relate to a range of audiences.
5. Experience of effective management and delivery of resources within set budget.
6. A degree in a relevant discipline (or equivalent qualification, training or relevant experience).
Overtonlea Services provides a number of support services to the people of Shetland. Overtonlea Care home is located in the village of Levenwick in the South Mainland of Shetland which provides 24 hour residential and respite care for up to 15 service users.
Overtonlea Services also provides social care, domestic support and meals on wheels in the wider South Mainland Community setting along with a day support service open 4 days per week which enables vulnerable & frail members of the local community to remain as independent as possible, at home.
