Sr Embedded Software Engineer, AWS Nitro
AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS. Within AWS UC, Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) roles engage with AWS customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

Key job responsibilities
The Data Path HAL team is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join us in building the next generation of networking products. You’ll have the opportunity to work on the technologies that power the world’s largest cloud provider, in a dynamic, open, fast-paced environment. Working in both pre-silicon and post-silicon activities defines the Data Path HAL team as a leading team in AWS software development.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor degree or higher in computer science/electrical engineering or computer engineering
- 8+ years of experience with embedded SW development
- Fluent in C and drivers
- Experience with HW/SW interfaces at both the board and chip level
- Personal characteristics: leader, team player, highly motivated and committed, passionate about SW development, a fast learner, and willing to work in a dynamic environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Deep understanding of computer architecture
- Experience with network driver development and protocols
- Experience with SoC development life cycle
- Experience working in Linux environments
