Are you passionate about developing clinical pharmacy services?
We are seeking an exceptional and highly motivated pharmacist to lead and develop our well-established clinical pharmacy and medication safety teams.
As a key member of the Pharmacy Leadership Team, you will support the Director of Pharmacy to pioneer strategic transformation across all our pharmacy services in East IHC (acute, community, mental health, prison, primary care, and technical services) by providing strong personal and professional leadership across our diverse disciplines.
The post holder will have a strong background in clinical leadership, management, and service development. They will have experience of working with senior colleagues and local and national networks across all boundaries on clinical and management strategies.
This is an exciting time to be involved with Clinical Pharmacy Services in Wales as the Health Board begins its journey of transformation informed by the recent RPS Independent Review of Clinical Pharmacy Services at NHS Hospitals in Wales.

Qualifications
Essential
1. Registered pharmacist with GPhC
2. Masters Degree or equivalent in pharmacy
3. Management qualification or equivalent experience
4. Post-graduate diploma/MSc in relevant pharmacy area or equivalent documented experience in relevant area
5. A substantive level of experience in a managerial post
Desirable
1. Post-graduate management qualification
2. Independent/supplementary prescriber
3. Teaching/assessing qualification
Experience
Essential
1. A substantive level of post-qualification experience in primary care/secondary care.
2. Able to demonstrate a suitable level of experience in providing specialist pharmacy services.
3. Responsibility for performance management within pharmacy
4. Evidence of strategy development and change management in complex situations
5. Experience of success in service development
6. Experience of working effectively in a multidisciplinary environment
Desirable
1. Significant experience of pharmacy management within an NHS Trust/PCO including responsibility for staff and budgetary control.
2. Demonstrable experience of managing conflicting priorities within tight budgets and/or time constraints
