The Commercial Workstream Delivery lead will be responsible for overseeing and managing the Commercial workstream which is part of a wider Transformation Programme. This role will work with Procurement and Legal to manage regulated tenders from initiation to completion, ensuring the projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves handling regulated and non-regulated tenders, RFPs (Requests for Proposal), RFQs (Requests for Quotation), contract analysis, and developing insource/outsource strategies and exit plans. Strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to coordinate across multiple teams and stakeholders are essential for this position.
Role responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate commercial and procurement activity across the programme (e.g. RFPs, Market Engagement etc.).
Oversee the preparation and submission of tenders, and conduct thorough contract analysis to ensure all terms and conditions are favourable and compliant.
Develop strategies for insourcing and outsourcing, evaluating the benefits and risks of each approach
Plan and execute exit strategies for contracts, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal disruption.
Shape and create any required artefacts for commercial activity across the programme (e.g. Invitation to Tender document, Evaluation matrix, Pricing templates)
Run competitive regulated tender processes in line with company requirements within the programme.
Manage the Commercial workstream plan, risks, issues and dependencies, integrating with programme governance and other workstreams
Provide project status and progress reporting and complete required governance activities.
Act as a liaison between the programme and Procurement to ensure any procurement processes/practices are followed by the programme.
