About Us:
Norwich Theatre is one of the leading arts organisations in the UK and the largest in the East of England, encompassing the historic Theatre Royal, the creative hub Stage Two, and the intimate mid-scale Playhouse. We present, produce, and co-create a vibrant programme of live performance and creative engagement activities to entertain, enrich, and inspire audiences of all ages and backgrounds, and we work with national and international partners to ensure we bring the very best theatre to our region.
We are an independent not-for-profit charity with no regular public funding and rely on a share of ticket sales, one-off grants, fundraising/membership schemes, and other commercial activities to deliver the work we do both on stage and in communities.
About the Role:
In this truly generalist role, you will support the delivery of Norwich Theatre’s people and culture strategy across the whole employee lifecycle, including talent acquisition, learning and development, employee engagement, reward and benefits, talent management, and HR information systems (HRIS).
This will include supporting recruitment processes, wellbeing initiatives, development of training plans, and supporting managers to promote our values and behaviours, manage wellbeing and absence, and effectively deal with any conflict situations in their team.
Norwich Theatre is a highly inclusive organisation, and helping to promote a culture of inclusion and working with stakeholders to remove any barriers will be a key part of the role.
About You:
You may already be a Level 5 qualified HR/People professional working in an HR role that includes recruitment and case management or have relevant HR experience and be studying towards or be willing to study to level 5 (we will provide funding and study support to help with this).
Whichever route you wish to join us, you will need the key skills of empathy, resilience, pragmatism, and excellent communication skills. Excellent time management, organisation, and IT skills are also key for this role.
We Offer:
A good salary, 25 days holiday, plus public holidays, plus your birthday off, together with an inclusive culture focused on wellbeing and happiness. We have a commitment to personal and professional development, discounts on a range of food, drink, and theatre tickets, and access to My Discounts, an employee discount scheme offering savings on retail, gyms, travel, utilities, and more.
