DATA OFFICER Actual Salary £22,202 - £23,283 per annum (Grade 6, SCP 6-9) This job is Term Time Only for 37 hours per week and 39.8 weeks per year. Due to the postholder relocating, an exciting and rare opportunity to join our busy Admin Team has arisen as we seek a DATA OFFICER to join us as soon as possible. Previous experience of working within a school environment (either teaching or support staff) and with school management information systems including SIMs, Assessment Manager and 4Matrix etc would be considered an advantage, but applications are also warmly welcomed from those working in busy office environments with transferable skills, as specific training and development will be provided. Candidates must be numerate, computer literate, happy working with all standard office applications (Word, Excel etc) and demonstrate clear evidence of their data administration experience and suitability for the post. This is an interesting and rewarding post and the successful candidate will be joining our highly supportive Admin Team, working closely with our Exams Manager. The cross-over of skills and the particularly complementary nature of these two posts offer further scope for variety and versatility within the role. The postholder should be a self-starter, happy to work on their own initiative without constant supervision, and with the ability to work to deadlines in a pro-active manner. Accuracy, flexibility and attention to detail (e.g. when producing and checking school reports, including 6 th form reports that are exchanged with our partner school), are considered to be essential skills, as is the ability to thrive in a busy and fast-paced working environment with regular interruptions. The successful candidate will be required to collect, collate and analyse data and statistical information and provide reports to staff and a range of external bodies as required, including the planning and preparation of statutory and non-statutory returns (e.g. school Census). Maintaining the school timetable for staff and students and implementing changes and updates is a key part of the role, which also includes arranging cover for absent teaching staff and contacting and liaising with supply staff coming in. This is predominantly, but not exclusively, done as early as possible in the morning. The successful candidate will work 37 hours per week during term time (including all staff training days) and will also attend work for 4 days in August (the A Level and GCSE exams results days and the two days before them each year). Working hours are 7.45am-3.40pm Monday to Thursday, and 7.45am-3.35pm on Friday, including a 30 minute (unpaid) lunch break. Whilst every effort has been made to explain the main duties and responsibilities of this post the school requires flexibility and a can-do attitude in all of its employees and as part of the Admin team should be willing to learn new skills as required.
