Description Finance Business Partner – Commercial. Salary: £49,000 per annum. Location: Homebased with travel to Watford for meetings. Contract: Permanent – 35 hours per week. A bit about the role As Finance Business Partner- Commercial, you will lead on the financial support providing Action for Children’s (AfC) commercial operations, with a particular focus on the group’s commercial childcare and nurseries portfolio. You will play a key role in providing timely and accurate financial information to operational staff and senior management, build effective and successful relationships with Finance and non-Finance stakeholders, and providing commercial insight and financial advice to enable stakeholders to understand, manage and achieve financial and non-financial targets. How you'll help to create brighter futures Leading on ensuring the delivery of a high quality, consistent and effective finance service in support of AfC’s commercial operations. Leading on the production of accurate, timely financial information to operational stakeholders and senior management. Provide direction, challenge and understanding to stakeholders to enhance their financial understanding and ability to use information to report on any expected variances to plan and drive financial performance improvements. Collaborate closely with operational colleagues to build accurate forecasts, budgets, and longer-term financial plans. Provide reporting to support improvement in financial performance, including reporting on profitability of individual operations, underlying income and cost drivers, and other key business metrics. Let's talk about you CCAB qualification or equivalent. Will have substantial experience of working closely with senior budget holders as well as any relevant funders or in a complex funding-focussed environment. Demonstrate an ability to deliver the best outcome through managing complex contractual financial reporting. Show Commercial acumen and demonstrate an ability to influence senior stakeholders to impact outcomes. Will be an effective people manager. Will be able to demonstrate experience of successfully managing expectations of internal and external stakeholders.
