About the Department:
The Logistics Operations Department is a new department at Williams Racing, proving our value every day. Our team of Logisticians continuously works on our business processes and practices to ensure we achieve the best possible outcomes for each area of manufacturing and ultimately our Race Team.
Role Overview:
As a Logistics Operations Industrial Placement, you’ll play a critical role in driving projects within the department, working to make small progress each day. This role offers a rare opportunity to be involved in the world of Formula 1 from an early stage in your career, during an exciting period of change as we build towards the new season of 2026 and the new regulations. You will see the outcome of our efforts week on week on the track, a role that promises both professional growth and the thrill of being part of a high-performance team.
Your Responsibilities:
As a Logistics Operations Industrial Placement at Williams, you will:
* Work collaboratively with Procurement colleagues to gain better control of Vendor Stock usage (Project based).
* Attend team meetings and relevant subject matter meetings to discuss progress.
* Align with all areas of the Logistics Team, including Race Team Logistics, to improve tracking of UIILT items throughout the process.
* Perform daily tasks as required to support the improvement of each area within Logistics Operations.
* Provide support wherever needed in the department during Race Build window.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will have:
* Proficiency in MRP / ERP software usage.
* Basic understanding of manufacturing projects.
* Familiarity with data analysis and Logistics events.
* Strong problem-solving ability.
* Effective communication skills.
* Attention to detail.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* A strong background in Logistics, ideally studying for a Logistics and or Supply Chain degree.
* Motorsport experience through internships or personal projects (highly desirable).
* Proactive problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication abilities.
