Network or Voice Engineer - Temporary Contract (6 months)
Are you an experienced Network or Voice Engineer looking for your next opportunity? Our client, a reputable police organisation, is seeking a skilled professional to join their team in Kidlington. As a Voice Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of their IT and Voice networks, contributing to the organisation's overall business objectives and processes.
What you'll be doing:
Identifying and resolving network or Voice problems following agreed proceduresUtilising network management software and tools to collect performance statisticsCarrying out maintenance tasks and implementing network changes to support project requirementsCollaborating with the team to create reports and proposals for service level improvementsProviding support in resolving operational problems and ensuring service delivery standards are met
What we're looking for:
A recognised IT Networking qualification or equivalent experience in a similar size organisationGood understanding of network systems, networking protocols, and standardsAbility to articulate technical designs and principles to a non-technical audienceStrong communication skills, both written and oral, with a customer-focused approachAbility to work collaboratively as part of a team, while also being flexible and adaptableProblem-solving skills and the ability to work systematically with little direct supervisionFull UK driving licence (essential) due to the requirement for frequent travel across different locations
Additional requirements for apprentices:
A Levels in ICT/Business/Computing or relevant work-based experienceAptitude to identify and resolve IT network problemsCommitment to achieving the Network Engineer apprenticeship
