Sheet Metal Worker
A medium-sized aerospace company based in Basildon is looking for a Sheet Metal Worker. We are seeking someone with experience in the aerospace or automotive sectors as a Sheet Metal Worker, using fabricating machines such as fly presses, brake presses, guillotines, and band saws. Previous experience in precision engineering/manufacturing settings is essential.
Hourly Rate: £17.14
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am to 4pm, Friday 7:30am to 12:30pm. Overtime is paid at x1.5.

Sheet Metal Worker Duties:
1. Setting up and using a fly press.
2. Operating fabricating machines including brake press, guillotine, and band saws to cut, bend, and straighten metal.
3. Shaping metals using hand tools and machines including stretch forming, rubber press, and brake presses.
4. Deburring and drilling amongst other sheet metal duties.
5. Laying out, measuring, and marking dimensions and reference lines on materials/panels according to drawings or templates using calculators, scribes, dividers, squares, and rulers.
6. Working with aluminium and some mild steel and stainless steels.
7. Adhering to and following ISO 9001 procedures.
This is a permanent role to work in a fantastic and well-kept facility.
