Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Business Support Manager to join our small, friendly team and play a key role in shaping a positive, collaborative office environment. You will be responsible for managing a cohesive team while overseeing a variety of business functions such as HR, staff well-being, administrative tasks and processes, IT systems, and finance/accounts. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership and people management skills, ensuring that our team feels supported, engaged, and motivated. You’ll work closely with Directors to implement effective processes and ensure the smooth running of the office, while maintaining a positive workplace culture that aligns with our core values.
Duties
Team Building & Staff Well-being:
1. Create a positive and inclusive team culture
2. First contact for HR matters, staff development and wellbeing.
Administration Operations
1. Optimise workflows and organise admin tasks
2. Ensure IT systems, software and processes are up to date and adequate
3. Manage Company meetings and events
4. Company official obligations, incl GDPR, HMRC, Sustainability, Policies and Procedures etc
Supporting Directors and Board members with
1. Assist with Finance reporting, budgeting and forecasting planning
2. Support Company strategy, Commercial and Operational targets
3. Oversee marketing strategies and implementation
4. Manage all insurance requirements
5. Collaboration and alignment across departments
Skills and Experience
1. Proven experience in office/team management with a focus on HR, problem solving
2. Strong people management skills, with high emotional intelligence
3. Strong administrative operations knowledge and organisational skills
4. Understanding of financial processes
5. Familiarity with Office IT systems, databases, (accounting software a bonus)
6. Strong decision-making capabilities, with a focus on team success and company growth.
7. Self-motivated and proactive and confidently takes ownership of task
