Student Counsellor We are looking for a Student Counsellor to join our Mental Health and Wellbeing Team. This is a 35 hours per week, full-time, term-time only role offering a salary of £22,806 to £27,216 per annum. Job Purpose: To provide a Student Counselling and Crisis Support Service Skills and Qualifications: Professional qualification in counselling Substantive post qualification experience of working with young people Be a member of BACP or equivalent Experience of working autonomously to deliver a student counselling service and be a first point of contact in response to student crises. Be able to relate to a wide range of people and have an understanding of the complex issues affecting students Possess a wide range of counselling skills, be highly organised, have meticulous record keeping and able to support the wider team in promoting mental health wellbeing throughout the college A sensitivity to and awareness of the varying needs of individuals and communities A high degree of self-motivation and initiative To be able to demonstrate drive and enthusiasm in a changing and challenging environment Why Join Us?
